So Honda and Toyota recently introduced their robots - Honda Asimo and Toyota Partner Robot.
Honda has further advanced intelligence technologies enabling its advanced humanoid robot ASIMO to act autonomously and perform uninterrupted service to office guests which you can see at the Honda website. The folks of Honda recently did a test at their Aoyama headquaters from 3:00 p.m. - 5 p.m. between Dec. 12, 2007 - Jan. 31, 2008 where the ASIMO’s ability to guide visitors and deliver refreshments. If I would ever see this in my lifetime, then I would have to suspect a scene of irobot could occur.
Take a look at how far artificial intelligence has gone.
I kind of like the Honda Asimo more than what Toyota has done but both are still works in progress. The folks at Honda are really trying to push it forward with making ASIMO able to run. Imagine once they can control the speed. Imagine a Robot coming at you 35 mph.
