Game Changers: Madden NFL

Here's an interesting article on one of my favorite video game series of all time. After reading this, I think I'm gonna apply for a job as an NFL coach.

The Third and the Seventh by Alex Roman

A FULL-CG animated piece that tries to illustrate architecture art across a photographic point of view where main subjects are already-built spaces.
Sometimes in an abstract way. Sometimes surreal.

The Silver Washington Quarter

U.S. quarters, starting from 1932, are called "Washington quarters." Washington quarters dated from 1932 to 1964 are made with 90% silver and 10% copper, and weigh around 6.25 grams.

The value of the metals depends on the market price of silver and copper. As of January 2010, the value of the silver in a pre-1965 Washington quarter is about $6.

None of the 1944 Washington quarters (Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver mints) are rare, but if the coin is in mint state, it would be worth about $35

Pharrell Keynote at MIDEM 2010

Pharrell Williams attended the MIDEM 2010 music business conference in Cannes for a Q&A keynote with Rob Stone (Co-CEO of Cornerstone). Pharrell Williams spoke on a variety different things including working with Game, who calls him his favorite producer to work with, Ludacris’s album, Jay-Z’s upcoming techno project, and working with the great movie composer Hans Zimmer for the upcoming 3-D CGI feature film, Despicable Me. Rob also kinda snitched on Pharrell’s son he had nearly a year ago. I don’t think he wanted anyone to know about that one.

New NBC Logo Combines Fail Whale and Peacock

Twitter user Mitch Canter (@studionashvegas) posted a TwitPic of his vision for a redesigned NBC logo that combines the Twitter Fail Whale and the NBC peacock to reflect the Internet’s disgust with NBC’s late night fiasco as well as its support of Conan O’Brien.

The fail whale was designed by artist Yiying Lu, and it has become something of a pop culture icon. That’s not necessarily a good thing when you consider that it only appears when something goes terribly wrong.

Annie Leibovitz Stars in New Louis Vuitton Ad

Louis Vuitton turned the tables on Annie Leibovitz, photographer of its “core values” ad campaigns, and asked her to appear in its next spots, which will break in daily newspapers, magazines and online starting Feb. 1. She hesitated at first, but ultimately accepted — on the condition she use the fee to hire someone famous to pose with her. That flew in the face of Vuitton communication director Antoine Arnault’s intention: He had proposed the self-portrait project to Leibovitz as a gesture of support, given her widely publicized financial problems. “She’s a real, pure, 100 percent artist,” enthused Arnault, who insisted on ponying up for her chosen co-star, ballet legend Mikhail Baryshnikov. “We’ve always been very committed to her, to her talent.” Taken in Leibovitz’s New York studio, the photo depicts the dancer barefoot on a podium, and the photographer eying her subject, her own three-year-old monogram Neverfull bag next to her and stuffed with books. The tag line reads: “The journey of a star, captured in a flash.” Arnault said the image exemplifies the “moment of quiet and calm” Leibovitz achieves with her sitters. “She just gets in their souls,” he said. “This campaign has really become almost a saga.

Behind the scenes with Blakroc & RZA

Been listening to the Blakroc album and if you haven't you all gotta check it out, here's a behind the scenes clip with Blakroc and the Rza aka Bobby Digital aka Robert Dixon.

Kudos to the Marketing team at Weatherproof

I thought this ad was quite interesting put up by Weatherproof the jacket company which stunned the New York visitors and residents the past few weeks for advertising a massive billboard in Times Square of the President wearing one of their coats calling it "The Obama Jacket."

This ad is located on 31st Street above Red Lobster till this Thursday and you can find out more about this story on how it came about from the President of Weatherproof Freddie Stollmack at the NY Times article here.

Imagine if we got one Jask Clothing's Tees on our President playing some hoops.....hmmmmm. Attention all stylists....let me know if you have any contacts to the White House.

Regardless if the public thinks its bad hype, he's wearing their coat and that says a lot. I wonder how much percentage profits they have sold due to this Billboard?

Then you walk a few hundred feet and I thought this ad was interesting.

With all this negativity press about our President lately, I can only hope it will turn for the better in 2010. We'll have to wait and see.

In Rememberance of a King

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

-Martin Luther King Jr.

BE STUPID

Saw some of this campaign in the subway stations. Looks like Diesel's telling us to be stupid. HA! I'm liking it though. It definitely catches your eye and is a "different" way of telling you to follow your heart.

A Basketball Art Form

So me and my boy were talking about this art form that's been occurring alot more in the NBA compared to past seasons and this video came up. Talk about being a defensive specialist. I mean...how do you explain yourself after this?! Was he going for the ball?

In any case, we blamed the incessant flopping on the influx of Europeans coming into the NBA - Vlade Divac, Manu Ginobili, Andrei Kirkilenko....just to name a few....
