So I was flipping through TV and saw the Scripps National Spelling BEE was on last night and there were 3 finalists left, 1 girl, and 2 boys. So I decided to stay and watch the remaining 3.
Sameer Mishra sealed his title by spelling the word:
guerdon
I was curious to see if I could spell some of the words that were being used and here's some of the words that the 3 finalists had to spell.
opificer
sinicize
introuvable
Here's my summary of the words:
The Opificer was sinicized practically by trying to translate this introuvable word but was able to make of it so he was compensated with a guerdon.
Not sure if that made sense. The lesson of the day...
learned a few difficult words.
