Marilyn Minter 100 Food Porn

The artist Marilyn Minter's TV-commercial

Marilyn Minter has been making gritty pop paintings of sex, food, and trash since the mid-‘70s, but when she started exploring the nasty side of glitz in the late '90s, the art and fashion crowd fell head-over-heels in love with her work.

Her drug-addled mom inspired. Minter's college photo shoot of her mother during a lost weekend spent trying on wigs and make-up, smoking cigarettes while lounging in bed, and popping pills helped shape the artist's vision of damaged glamour.

She advertised her ironic porn paintings on TV. Minter placed a 30-second commercial during late-night talk shows in 1989 to promote her New York exhibition 100 Food Porn, which featured expressive paintings of fingers fondling food.

Here's more of Minter's work here

it's a bit abstract
