Baseball in Hoboken's 162nd Anniversary
Hoboken celebrated its 162nd Anniversary today and I wanted to give you some background history if you didn't know that baseball started in Hoboken on June 19, 1846.
The "Father of Modern Baseball" Alexander Joy Cartwright Jr. started to set bases at 90 ft. apart and he was able to establish 9 innings as a game and 9 players to a team.
That day, a match at the Elysian Fileds took place and the rules were in effect.
