Health Insurance Reform, Small Business and Your Questions
Hate to jump into Politics but thats all I have been surrounded by recently but I felt this was important to pass forward to the community.
The President discusses a key factor that has been considered in the development of the health insurance reform proposals that are being considered: the impact of reform on small business.
During the address, the President asks that small business owners and employees give us their comments and questions on the report. What are your experiences with health care as somebody involved in small business, and what are your thoughts and questions on the new CEA report in light of those experiences?

The HighLine - Keep on the path
Was finally able to check out the Highline which recently opening in New York.
The High Line is located on the West Side of Manhattan. The first section runs from Gansevoort Street (in the Meatpacking District), to West 20th Street in Chelsea which is between 10th & 11th Avenues.
Some background of the Highline:
The High Line was built in the 1930s, as part of a massive public-private infrastructure project called the West Side Improvement. It lifted freight traffic 30 feet in the air, removing dangerous trains from the streets of Manhattan's largest industrial district. No trains have run on the High Line since 1980. Friends of the High Line, a community-based non-profit group, formed in 1999 when the historic structure was under threat of demolition. Friends of the High Line works in partnership with the City of New York to preserve and maintain the structure as an elevated public park.
The project gained the City's support in 2002. The High Line south of 30th Street was donated to the City by CSX Transportation Inc. in 2005. The design team of landscape architects James Corner Field Operations, with architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, created the High Line's public landscape with guidance from a diverse community of High Line supporters. Construction on the park began in 2006. The first section, from Gansevoort Street to 20th Street recently was opened.

Michael Jordan and Gatorade street art
photos by Gatorade
A street art tribute to Michael Jordan made out of 19,000 Gatorade bottles, including the new Gatorade Limited Edition Jordan Series, glows on a basketball court Monday on Chicago's South Side. Local Jordan fans and longtime Jordan teammate Scottie Pippen helped construct the mosaic, which Gatorade organized as a way to celebrate Jordan's Hall of Fame career.
Check out these old school commercials that Scottie did back in the day with as Mr. Submarine and the Silent Assassin!

A new kind of place for vinyl
The good old plastic milk crate is easily the simplest, cheapest way to store your vinyl records. This weekend, I came across two interesting takes on the classic milk crate over at Urban Outfitters.
On the left, we have a cast aluminium version ($98 here) on top, a simple wooden box with the sketch of a milk crate on the bottom ($38 here).
While they're priced too high to store all of my records, I like the idea of having one nice crate out in the open that I can move around while the rest of my records are on the shelf.

Community created content
This ‘Hibi no Neiro’ music video was posted on July 1st on YouTube. Over the past two weeks, the video has scored an impressive 480,000 plus video views. That’s almost 30,000 views a day. Impressive. Checked in on the band’s official web site - http://sour-web.com - and noticed that to date they have only released a few independent albums. Amazing to think an independent band can draw a global audience of almost 500,000 viewers just by involving their dedicated fan base. And who knows - I did not investigate other video sites - but likely the music video for ‘Hibi no Neiro’ is syndicated on other sites and is racking up more hits off of YouTube as well

Welcome to the future of fashion photo shoots - BKRW
To celebrate the launch of BLACK RAINBOW capsule collection. The International photographer ALBRECHT GERLACH made this dope fashion video.
It is a true new way to think about fashion shoot.
Love the music that coincides with the video.
July 4th
and in the words of another, Paul Simon:
Many's the time I've been mistaken
And many times confused
Yes, and I've often felt forsaken
And certainly misused
Oh, but I'm all right, I'm all right
I'm just weary to my bones
Still, you don't expect to be
Bright and bon vivant
So far away from home, so far away from home
And I don't know a soul who's not been battered
I don't have a friend who feels at ease
I don't know a dream that's not been shattered
or driven to its knees
but it's all right, it's all right
for we lived so well so long
Still, when I think of the
road we're traveling on
I wonder what's gone wrong
I can't help it, I wonder what's gone wrong
And I dreamed I was dying
I dreamed that my soul rose unexpectedly
And looking back down at me
Smiled reassuringly
And I dreamed I was flying
And high up above my eyes could clearly see
The Statue of Liberty
Sailing away to sea
And I dreamed I was crying
We come on the ship they call the Mayflower
We come on the ship that sailed the moon
We come in the age's most uncertain hours
and sing an American tune
Oh, and it's alright, it's all right, it's all right
You can't be forever blessed
Still, tomorrow's going to be another working day
And I'm trying to get some rest
That's all I'm trying to get some rest.
