R.I.P. Dash "Sace" Snow

If you guys never heard of Dash Snow, then here's was a man who potentially had some talent.

He was born and raised in New York City, seen regularly been associated with the “downtown scene,” referring to a sort of second coming of 1960s and 70s Warhol-era New York.

Dash Snow,at a young age ran away from home and lived on the streets around 13-14 years od, began to use drugs heavily, and joined a graffiti crew, started documenting his life at age 16 through Polaroid photographs.

He was included in the 2006 Wall Street Journal article titled "The 23-Year Old Masters", which selected ten top emerging US artists including Rosson Crow, Ryan Trecartin, Zane Lewis, Barney Kulok, Rashawn Griffin and Keegan McHargue.

In 1999 Snow married Agathe Aparru, now known as Agathe Snow, an artist.
According to Snow's New York Times obituary, this marriage ended in divorce.

He had a daughter, Secret Aliester Ramirez Messenger Santa Creeper, by Jade Berreau, a model, actress, and photographer, in 2007.(One source states the child's name is Secret Magic Nico.)

Snow died on the evening of July 13, 2009 at Lafayette House, a hotel in lower Manhattan. His grandmother Christophe de Menil was quoted as saying that he died of a drug overdose.

1981-2009

Often depicting self-destructive escapades, Snow’s photographs captured the energy and lives of those around him.

Why Multitaskers may not be a good thing

Think you can watch videos, make cell phone calls and send e-mails all at once? Stanford experts say even trying can impair your cognitive control. Communication professor Cliff Nass and researcher Eyal Ophir explain why.

You can read more about this study here:

Bernard Wilhelm Wild Plastic Mask

As seen on your favorite Japanese weirdo-rap team [Teriyaki Boyz] and the [Simpsons Guy] (pictured below) at the SoCal American Apparel Flea Market.

Here’s the mask, in the super-strange Batgirl style for hip slightly rich people.

Bare witness this french video

I wonder how many takes this took to shoot this video? Any guesses?

You can now SHOOT using the DORYU 2-16 pistol

The DORYU 2-16 pistol camera is a 16mm Japanese police-issue camera developed by Ryu Koakimoto-san who is pictured above. This extremely rare and valuable camera is not a toy and has the same C mount as the 16mm movie camera. The DORYU 2-16 can also mount a Cine-Nikkor 25mm F1.4 lens which is pictured above on the table with other components that work with the camera.

The Japanese police are making the most of this design. Smartly though, they have declared that it is for a serious purpose.

THE NEW BMW MINI - 50th Anniversary - MINI Coupe Concept

As BMW celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the debut of Alec Issigoni’s original Mini, the MINI brand officially announced that a commemorative concept coupe will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motorshow. The MINI Coupe Concept is a sporty two-seater which retains favorite vintage retro front end look of the four-seater MINI but a more streamlined back. Everything from the beltline up is replaced and the windshield that was originally upright is now swept back and sheltered by a truncated roof.

The little speedster is lightweight with a perfect distribution of gravity for stability and grab, and is designed to accommodate the most powerful engine in the MINI family. The 1.6L twin-scroll turbo-charged power unit enables the coupe to rip through at a 211 hp.

Finally a model for those who loves the look of the MINI but is seeking something that’s a little wild card as well. Check out the photos before more interior looks are revealed this coming September.

Inception Trailer teaser

Instead of working on the highly anticipated, but Joker-free follow-up to The Dark Knight, this is what Christopher Nolan has been up to lately on his newest film called Inception.

It's a trippy sci-fi movie about a CEO involved in a blackmail scandal, kind of sounds like the situation which went down last month in the City of Hoboken. If you have not been reading the news, here's the FBI Agent complaint: http://bit.ly/26VkH

(Mayor Cammarano denying the charges from the FBI Complaint)

While I can't wait for the follow-up to The Dark Knight, this does look like it could be pretty fucking cool, even if this is just a teaser trailer. And even with Leonardo DiCaprio, but seriously I would rather watch Batman 3 in all honesty.

Latest Shoe security for airport travelers: MagShoe

It's the holiday season and for airports that means an increase in the number of travelers and a higher level of security. However, the typically long lines at the security check will be cut in half this year at some worldwide airports thanks to this machine.

The Magshoe, created by IDO Security in Israel after the events of September 11th is the answer to one of the most problematic areas in security checks: your shoes. Walk through metal detectors today lack the technology to successfully scan below the shin, making it easy for weapons to go undetected. The Magshoe is designed to scan the whole foot, and the best part for travelers, you don't have to take your shoes off.
