I don't understand this hate group who decided to stop by my City and express their feelings especially in this time period we're all going through, its time to stop ignoranance and move forward. It's 2009 folks! Where have you all been this whole time?
These seven (7) Westboro Baptist Church protesters, who held such (insane) signs as "God Hates You" and "You Will Eat Your Babies" and "You're all going to hell"

Chen Wenling is an artist of secularism, and at the same time he used a humorous and exaggerative way to show the themes of his works. Pig is a signature of Chen Wenling, and at the same time pig is a special animal for Chinese people. No people in any other countries are so close to pigs, pig, in fact, is China herself. Especially in Fujian, Guangdong and Guangxi, “pig culture” are very popular. As a man born and live in Fujian, Chen Wenling use pig as the first signature of himself is an interesting thing. Horse, in Chinese cultural dictionary is a western word. From the recent works of Chen Wenling, we could see some traces that he learn form western world. Modern art emphasizes the concepts in a piece of work. It often creates a style of too many concepts, making viewers tired. In contrast, Chen’s works are simple and true. He does not deliberately create concepts. The naked bodies have nothing to disguise themselves. What left is a direct communication with the nature and a direct conversation between the society and the people. The facial and body expressions of the Red Boys are properly exaggerated to enhance the communicative effects. This series of works is a relief of too many concepts. It can also be viewed that there is a concept in the works to curtail the burden of concepts.

Chen Wen Ling is a recognised young sculptor working in China. Born in Anxi, Fujian China in 1969, he graduated from Xiamen academy of Art and completed study in Sculpture Dept, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing China.
The Red Boys are innocent and not evil, healthy and not sick. It is well known that the visual arts of the late twentieth century, whether in art, movie and three-dimension cartoon pictures of computer games are full of violence and self doubt and pity. Chen's Red Boy look like a lotus growing out of mud, satisfying viewers cravings for a new trend of avant garde art, ie. to make a vehicle of the construction of human nature rather than the weapon of criticism of human nature.
His works attracted outsiders, insiders, academics and avant-garde critics alike to appreciate them from their own perspectives.
Chen series works of the Red Boys entitled the Red Memory, which have various meanings for different modern art viewers. They may be reminded of a newly born baby (red boy) which symbolizes the innocence of human heart in classical culture, without a feeling of ordinariness.

Stephen Colbert interviewed Wu-Tang Clan mastermind RZA on his show last night, asking the Clan swordsman about The Tao of Wu, his new book. There's some laughs at the beginning where Colbert asks RZA if it's possible that Colbert is in the Wu without knowing, and there's also some talk of supreme mathematics, which I can't see happening on about any other show. The Tao of Wu is out now.
DMX is fresh out of the big house, and already in the middle of some type of trouble. He was scheduled to perform at a benefit concert for American Charities in Colorado Springs last Friday, Oct. 16th.
X was supposed to be there by 9:30 p.m., when there was no sign of him fans were told that he was going to be a no show. X strolled in around 11 p.m.
Since he was late he was denied entry and of course DMX was not happy. Details are still sketchy, but some reports say that American Charities denied X from performing because they didn't have the cash to cover his show rate.
He was reportedly paid an $8,000 deposit, with another $7,000 coming after the show's completion. Instead of informing DMX's management, the show promoters allegedly opted to completely cancel the set rather than negotiate a new arrangement.
Check out the video of Omen rocking the King-T shirt which was one of our earlier designs for the company.
Ran into Omen last week and he's currently working on his own album Be the Judge at his studio Stadium Red. He has artists such as Drake, Ludacris, Fabulous, Fat Joe, and others that you wil catch his new album. Keep a look out.
Previous to the Euro this was printed on the French Franc "Je seme a tout vent" (I sow with the wind) was the perfect match for this site specific stencil and Arrow kite installation. The young girl flying her "arrow kite" in the Parisian wind.
It has been a while since I have gone out and this past Friday night I went to check out the Heineken's Red Star Soul Tour which took place at Gotham Hall in New York City. I ran into quite a few friends I have not seen in a long time, such as Omen from Stadium Red, Troy Hutchinson, and recently Charles Anthony who gave me information about the event initially. So once I walk in, guess who I run into, Jessica Gueco aka Yoshi from Fatlace along with her friend Louise Delorito.
I haven't seen Yoshi probably a few years ago when she just moved into Brooklyn from Cali. and we were selling T-shirts at the Atlantic Avenue Festival and she approached us, since then I haven't seen her until Friday night, sometimes I feel that New York is much smaller. Anyways she's been making some serious moves since she has been here in NYC and you can see what she's been up to here:
Comedian Godfrey MC'in the whole night, was killin me. I remember seeing him at Comedy Cellar years ago he would open up and then he started to do the 7UP commercials and haven't seen him for a minute until Friday night.
Wale started it off Biz Markie along with Grandmaster FlashNobody Beats the Biz
"Just a friend"
UK's finest Estelle decided to get the crowd involved on the 1 and 2 step before she performed "Come Over"
Last but not least Ludacris (Nas performed a few songs with him but I had to dip out) "The World is Yours" off of Nas's first album Illmatic
"I Do It For Hip Hop" off of Ludacris's 4th album
Finally got to meet Charlie Murphy, very nice fellow. Let me know when you want some Tee's from Jask Charlie!
Here are some more pics from Wire Image of who else showed up:
Google has launched a new site for dummies – you guessed it – for ad agencies. Most tech savvy people wonder why their company uses an ad agency in this day and age, and pay outrageous bills when your 6 years old niece could do it.
Ad agencies (most of them) are so out of touch with new media and technology that, you end up doing the work, they learn on your time and they end up billing you like there is no tomorrow.
Agencies are nothing more than a billing business, they are not a talent nor knowledge driven business as they lead people to believe. They don’t have the technical know how to keep on top of new developments.
Google is smart and knows there is a large business to be built educating dummies. The new site called AgencyLand provides answers to requests from advertising agencies for resources to help them manage their clients’ accounts – because their clients are about to bail – they have figured out that their 6 year old niece can do it in her sleep.
Originally launched into a closed, private beta in March 2009, AgencyLand is now available by invitation to agencies and third parties in the United States and Canada that manage Google media spend for clients. Poor clients.
Google Pay Per Click campaigns in particular are very difficult to manage profitably as PPC is not set up to discourage mistakes. A six year old can perhaps set up an Adwords account but certainly could never run one.

Its Election time folks, while I was walking to our table on Sunday, take a wild guess who decided to walk the Atlantic Ave. festival yesterday by our table that we set up. Mayor Bloomberg with 10+ body guards were with him along with crowds swarming around him and folks chanting "4 more years !! NO!! We want Thompson!" While I'm dealing with local politics in my city and trying to get away from it, for some reason you just can't! Too bad I was not able to see Bill Thompson who also was walking the Avenue.
This is Josh Goldstein who was next door to us at the booth, he had the opportunity this month to collaborate with Target and design the most recent Times Square Billboard in New York City. It's currently displayed on the Southside of 42nd Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue.
Here are some photos that I took the rest of the day
Respect and condolences to the memory of John Rivas — aka Mr. Magic.
He passed away this morning of a heart attack.
True hip hop heads know that his history is so long due to him being the first rap mixshow to ever be on commercial radio on New York’s WBLS (107.5) with Marley Marl and Fly Ty in 1982-1984. Then went on to to WHBI in October 1984 and then back to WBLS in 1985 and WDAS in Philly. Simultaneously he paved the way for all radio stations that ever did mixshows and also sparked the career of Boogie Down Productions due to the ideas he showed when they came to shop their demo to him and was turned away which then sparked “South Bronx” and “The Bridge Is Over”.
He was known for his direct and sarcastic attitude on the air and every artist wanted his approval when it came to breaking new records. He even had songs dedicated to him by the legendary Whodini (”Mr. Magic’s Wand”).
People across the country cannot tell the difference between Starbucks VIA and our fresh-brewed coffee. Can you? Go into Starbucks stores across the US and Canada on October 2-5 to find out. Who knows if Starbucks attempt to recapture people who fleed to cheaper coffee alternatives like McDonalds will work. I think it has a 50-50 chance of being the New Coke of Starbucks. Maybe Taster's choice will rebrand to Taster's Choice Classic. For now though the creative has me interested. I'll play thier little game. I'll let everyone know how the coffe is.
When you open up the Wave interface, you will be greeted by Greg, one of Google Wave’s product manager. Or, as he is apparently known around the office, “Dr. Wave.” He introduces you to Google Wave in a very fun and very informative 2 and a half minute video, which we’ve embedded below.
Before you watch it though, IMPORTANT NOTE: the video’s meant to be watched while within Google Wave. Thus, when you see him pointing, he’s supposed to be pointing at the Wave interface. So you might get a bit disoriented. In any case, here’s Dr. Wave:
Here's a tutorial sample of using Google Wave:
