Commuting should be fun

This past Monday evening, some pranksters infiltrated the BART, San Francisco's public train system, and installed some swings in the aisles.

Sure, having a swing in the aisle is probably pretty dangerous and bad for traffic flow, but come on. Every time the train stops and starts it gives you a push! It's the perfect place for a swing.

In a perfect world, there'd be special cars full of swings so everyone could get on board with this

Playing for a change

From the award-winning documentary, "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music", comes the first of many "songs around the world" being released independently. Featured is a cover of the Ben E. King classic by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it traveled the globe.

Four years ago while walking down the street in Santa Monica, CA the voice of Roger Ridley singing “Stand By me” was heard from a block away. His voice, soul and passion set us on a course around the world to add other musicians to his performance. This song transformed Playing For Change from a small group of individuals to a global movement for peace and understanding. This track features over 35 musicians collaborating from all over the world. They may have never met in person, but in this case, the music does the talking.

Bred in Jersey City - introducing Public School

My boy stealthmode has been raving about this shop in Jersey City recently so I took a trip to check it out over the weekend and got to meet with the owner James and some of the workers. The shop is flooded with photos of Josh Cheuse who is a Jersey city resident who lives across the street from Public School and you feel like you are in school with chalk boards, seats hanging on the wall and up scale T's such as Kid Robot, Supras, Converses, and designer jeans.
I had to cop a pair of the The Lupe Fiasco x Converse Chuck Taylor Hi’s, that are part of the Product (RED) line. The shoes come all in black patent leather, including the toe box. The outersole comes in a contrasting red.

Check it out when you get a chance, Peter Hadar is making a special appearance tomorrow night from 8pm-11pm

So I normally get to go to industry events and hang out but last week instead I had to work behind the scenes and got to see all the PR firms such as Tenjune/EM Group (whats good Eugene & Doug) and ThinkPR work their magic as they escorted all the celebrities and city officials into the grand opening of the W Hotel in Hoboken which is the smallest city to actually have the W open.

Jamie Foxx ended up closing the show, but I was way to exhausted but heard he performed later on that evening in the Champagne room.

Introducing Yubz for the iphone

How about this technology as a throwback!

When cutting edge technology is ubiquitous, taking inspiration from the past can set you apart -- a nitro whip may turn heads, but start drifting on a horse and those heads will straight explode. Give your phone some eye popping retro cachet, with Yubz.

Beyond looking sweet, Yubz carries practical benefits such as enhanced sound quality, and a 95 percent reduction in radiation emissions to your skull -- protection sadly not guaranteed to anyone whose head explodes when you dismount your steed...via its scissor doors

Start air-slamming your receiver with a handset from Yubz

Choose your own Weapon

They're baaaaack! Remember this poster taken back in 1986 with the bird and magic rivalries.....well they're bringing it back with the colors Red, White, and black....inspired by the Chicago Bulls similar to the EVO version we’ve seen Kirk Hinrich wear them on court, but is it as good as my Converse Weapon?...I still think not a chance.

Nike's new footscape

I have NEVER been a big fan of the footscapes since they have hit the market since 1994. But the past few years The Nike Air Footscape have definitely put some representation on this innovative approach to fit based purely on the foot’s anatomy.

The shoe was designed to relieve pressure on the vulnerable blood vessels and nerve endings on the top of the foot. The innovative side lacing system gave the shoe a sleek and aerodynamic look. The beauty of the Nike Footscape is that it remains fresh and compelling 14 years later.

The Nike Sportswear footwear design team chose to veneer it with a microstripe shirting material, as well as a Nylon woven detail holding the upper and the midsole together makes you not even think twice of getting these footsoles.
